Artificial stones are employed to simulate the natural ones, aiming to present a spatial ambiance of a mined artificial stone canyon. This simulation and representation create a captivating juxtaposition. The systematic design of space, scene, and structure not only presents the unity of form and force, and the connection between behavior and space, but also provides the possibility of recyclability of the exhibition venue. It is a exploration of sustainable exhibition construction.

Automatic moves along rails laid out in the greenhouse and uses cameras and sensors to judge which cherry tomatoes are ripe. An extending arm cuts whole bunches and places them in a towed box. Work can continue at night, which eases labor shortages during peak harvest periods. Rounded surfaces and a pearlescent finish soften the appearance, and indicator eyes visible from any angle show the direction of travel. Obstacles are detected so the machine stops safely.
Continue readingSkyline Bay is a community center built in Chengdu, China. The building has a construction area of 920 square meters and a two-story double-height layout that forms a semi-enclosed space with partitions but no full separation. The facade is clad in silver-white aluminum plate and champagne gold perforated aluminum plate, shaped into flowing curves that recall butterfly wings. Curved lines continue inside, creating quiet corners for reflection. The design draws on the nearby Shaxi waterway and wetland park and follows a waterfront island concept.
